City College

Established in 1929, Los Angeles City College is one of the oldest community colleges in California. Located in the heart of Hollywood, LACC provides a dynamic, innovative learning environment offering more than 100 vocational and professional programs. The college facilities include more than a dozen multi-story classroom buildings including a library, computer labs, fitness centers, theatre, and TV/film studios. With an eye to the future, the LACC campus accommodates learning in the digital-age.

Da Vinci Hall Modernization

The 65,920 square-foot Da Vinci Hall building is home to the Art and Architecture, Art gallery, Journalism, Photography and Ceramics programs. This building features 24 classrooms, an AV classroom with technology upgrades, IT and security upgrades, and ADA Accessibility improvements. Some additional improvements include the installation of a new roof, seismic retrofit, and updates to the building’s fire protection, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Once completed, the renovated of the 1962 building will include new technological features that will contribute to the student’s educational success.

The Student Union is a three-story building with a third floor deck and contains the bookstore, a food court, student lounge, associated student government, and the LACC Foundation.

Small Contractor Boot Camp - Spring 2023

The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) Small Contractor Boot Camp is a four-session program designed specifically for small contractors to improve their competitive bidding capacity. Through a comprehensive, hands-on curriculum, small contractors will learn more about the pre-qualification process for the Pre-Qualified Service Provider (PQSP) bench contracts for projects ranging from $25K - $5M, how to bid for work, and successfully execute BuildLACCD construction projects. LACCD’s $14.9 billion building program seeks to modernize and renovate projects throughout its nine colleges. The Board of Trustees established a 30% Local, Small, Emerging, and Disabled Veteran (LSEDV) participation goal for all BuildLACCD contracts. This provides numerous opportunities for LSEDV businesses to participate on the program. The District also seeks and encourages minority, women and LGBTQ business participation.
