College Internship Program
The Los Angeles Community College District’s BuildLACCD paid College Internship Program provides students with meaningful internship opportunities with firms and contractors performing work on BuildLACCD Program projects.
Internship placements are designed to provide an academic pathway to careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) versus short-term job placement. The College Internship Program works in collaboration with industry partners to provide learning opportunities in a variety of career paths including architecture, engineering, construction, construction management, contracts, accounting/finance, communications and marketing, and information technology (IT).

The College Internship Program goals are to:
- Develop work readiness to increase student success in professional work environment.
- Provide students an opportunity to contribute to the design, construction and operations of campus facilities.
- Create long-term mentorship opportunities for students.
Internship Application
The LACCD College Internship Program is a key component of the Bond Program that can be realized through collaborative effort engaging businesses, college faculty, and students seeking to enrich their academic education with work experience that will assist them in their career preparation. If you are a LACCD student, recent graduate or recent transfer student and are interested in participating in the College Internship Program, please complete and submit the college internship application.

Industry Partners
Industry Partners will benefit from having ready access to enthusiastic, bright LACCD college students who are eager to learn and help their internship employers achieve project and company goals. Additionally, Industry Partners may tap into Work Opportunity Tax Credits, On-The-Job Training incentives and other program services provided by State or Federal programs to offset the cost of hiring LACCD student interns.
